It won some seedling awards at Portland at I was able to take some more pictures. Below is a picture of it taken with the black satin head table cover in the background. Since the dahlia is darker than the black satin, it is easily visible. |
| Here is a picture of the flower taken in Roseburg. It was placed in front of a black can. Using Photoshop the color of the black can and the color of the ray floret were sampled and then filled into some rectangles for reference. Ebony Star is blacker than the black can. |
